Back in 1990 we purchased our first Apple Macintosh computer,
with a 40 megabyte hard drive and four megabytes of RAM...
The age of digital publishing had begun...
Suddenly
the world of graphic design changed dramatically as the new tools
enabled our designers to create, in minutes rather than hours,
ideas for our clients' brochures, advertisements and catalogues.
Building on our success, in 1995 we built the first X-Press
website; and again the possibilities for digital publishing exploded,
the World Wide Web had arrived - and we loved it!
Over the next three years the whole creative process was tempered
with new disciplines, html code that validated to W3C standards,
web page design that was "search engine friendly",
Flash animation, multimedia, desktop video - if any information
could be digitised, then we did it, creating a virtual library
of information to be published in any medium, on the web, on
CD rom and in print.
As the company matured, we focused on creative solutions that
gave our clients a return on their investment - and on the internet
this meant high visibility with the major search engines - and
in the year 2000 we launched Search
Engine Serious. The success of SES has been phenomenal with
clients' websites enjoying the advantage over their competitors
brought by high visibility on the web.
Our skill set is now so diverse we can truly offer complete
digital publishing solutions. Our new site Metropolis is a modern art
site built by employees of X-Press
