The
quickest way to get to the top of page one on the major search
engines is to implement a Pay Per Click campaign. This online
advertising is based on text adverts at the side, above and sometimes
below the natural search results.
The advertiser opens an account and creates small text based
ads selling their services and products. When someone searches
for a specific item the search engine matches the ads to suit
the search phrase - ie if someone searched for shoes, coresponding
shoe advertisements would be shown. This is properly called contextual

When someone searches at a search engine and your advert is
shown and the person clicks on it, you pay a small cost - hence
pay per click. That is the basic methodology, but as time has
passed in this area of marketing online, the whole pay per click

the campaign in-house.
